Dear Colleagues,
Please pass along the following information on the American
Evaluation Association's 2010 Conference to your members or place on
your website or newsletter.
---------------------------------------------------------------
On behalf of the Health Evaluation Topical Interest Group (TIG) of
the American Evaluation Association (AEA), we welcome (and
encourage!) you to submit proposals focusing on health evaluation at
AEA's national conference. This years conference will be held
November 10-13th in San Antonio, Texas. The 2010 conference theme is
Evaluation Quality.
The Health Evaluation TIG especially welcomes presentations that focus on:
* Tools for measuring health related outcomes, particularly
intermediate outcomes.
* How evaluations of prevention and intervention programs for
families, children, or adults should be conducted.
* How to evaluate health policy.
* How health evaluation policy influences health evaluation practice.
* Evaluating health prevention and intervention programs.
The Health Evaluation TIG is primarily interested in papers or
posters that focus on evaluation methods or procedures rather than
the results of a specific study or program evaluation. Submitted
proposals should be consistent with the conference theme and should
appeal to a wide range of professionals evaluating health related
programs. All proposals must be submitted via the Internet using
AEA's online forms at:
Please read through the entire submission process and contact the
Program Chairperson if you have any questions or need further
information. All proposals are due Midnight (EST), Friday, March 19,
2010. More information about the conference and the proposal
submission process can be found at:
We strongly encourage you to submit a proposal for a paper or panel,
and to help us in our effort to continue increasing the quality and
scope of the AEA conference program. On behalf of Robert LaChausse
(Health Evaluation TIG Chair) and myself, we are looking forward to
seeing you in Texas.
