The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Center for Community of Caring is
seeking individuals qualified for the following TWO consultant positions.

POSITION 1: Consultant. We are seeking a curriculum writer for an
elementary-level school-wide prevention program using a social and emotional
learning framework, inclusive of character education principles. Successful
candidates will have experience in developing elementary-level prevention
curricula. Knowledge of effective school-wide climate change theory and
practices, social and emotional learning theory and practice, as well as
experience with evaluating curricula is also necessary. Candidates must
possess a master's in Public Health, Psychology, or other allied fields with
an emphasis in prevention research; Ph.D. preferred. Experience in
elementary school settings is preferred. Knowledge of character education
theory and practice is also preferred. Position is for a one-year contract
with the possibility of extension pending additional grant funding. Travel
is a necessary component of this position. Salary is competitive and
commensurate with experience.
POSITION 2: Consultant. An individual is sought to assist with curricular
revisions for a "Building Healthy Relationships" component of a K-12
school-wide prevention program. Successful candidates will have experience
in developing and evaluating school-based prevention curricula. Candidates
must possess a master's degree in Public Health, Psychology, or other allied
field with an emphasis in prevention research; Ph.D. preferred. Experience
with abstinence-stressed, sex education curricula in school settings is
preferred. Knowledge of character education theory and practice is also
preferred. This is a short-term contract offering competitive compensation
commensurate with experience. Relocation is not necessary.
